On Saturday, May 19th, 2012 from 12-5pm, dozens of artists and businesses will open their studios and galleries for the second annual Calhoun Art Crawl. This free event has seven floors of open studios, featuring local painters, photographers, musicians, fashion designers, and jewelry-makers. Dance performances and classes will be offered throughout the day. The Calhoun Building is located at 711 West Lake Street in Minneapolis. The event is scheduled to coincide with the Lyn-Lake Festival the following day, Sunday, May 20th.

Come celebrate local art in a well-known south Minneapolis landmark. This historic building in the Lyn-Lake neighborhood has been serving artists and their constituents for decades, and remains a popular and well-known south Minneapolis arts destination.

Participating artists include: Bud Burgy Ink, Kevin Beaudin, Melissa Birch, Marlen Boro, Russell Bourrienne, Stephanie Brown, James Flemming, Christi Furnas,  Clare O'Neill, Julia Helen Rice, Elizabeth Ruskin Shanklin, Velleda Schervee, Smiling Lune Dance, Sarah Theisen and Treden Wagoner.
